Learn the fate of our country at one of London's most historic restaurants

Planning to pull an all-nighter for the general election on 4 July? Do it in style at The Cinnamon Club, the famed Westminster restaurant which is staying open all night to allow guests to watch the evening unfold in real time.

The Cinnamon Club To Host General Election All-Nighter

The eatery will open for dinner from 6pm on 4 July, and remain open until 11am the following day, with a big screen showing the ballot boxes being opened and constituencies counted. Wherever your political affiliations lie, you’ll be able to enjoy impressive modern Indian fare from executive chef Vivek Singh. Signature dishes include tandoori free range chicken with fennel and coriander; chargrilled Balmoral Estate venison loin with masala mash; and jumbo morels with spiced tofu.

Post-10pm, a late night bowl food menu will be on offer, featuring the likes of Hyderabadi chicken biryani and Anglo-Indian kedgeree. And those who manage to stay up all night – or who join in the morning – can enjoy breakfast dishes including a Full English.

If you’d rather just pop in for a drink, you can watch the live action from the Library Bar, which serves an array of wines and beers, plus Cinnamon Club’s special G&T.

Perched beside the Houses of Parliament and housed in the Grade II-listed Old Westminster Library, The Cinnamon Club is a fitting venue for an election event. Since opening in 2001, the restaurant has hosted a string of the UK’s most famous politicians, and become a staple on the country’s Indian dining scene. It has a grand look, with two of the walls covered in classic books, and an equally impressive menu which focuses on top-quality produce and innovative dishes.

Keen to get involved? No need to book a ticket – just book in for dinner anytime from 6pm on 4 July 2024, or breakfast from 5am. opentable.co.uk
