Don your best ‘tash’ or fancy dress and get involved in this year’s MoRunning charity fundraiser. Now in it’s 10th anniversary edition, the fantastic fun-run event – comprising of a series of 1.5km, 5km and 10km running routes spanning 24 locations across the UK and Ireland – has raised a spectacular more than £1m over the past decade and will continue its legacy of bringing communities together in aid of an important cause.
The charity event – in which this year’s London edition will take place on 30th November in Greenwich Park – raises money for the Movember Foundation, the global charity devoted to improving and supporting men’s health, having aided over 1,250 world-wide men’s health projects since its launch in 2003. Facing a number of crucial health issues affecting millions of men across the world, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, suicide and mental health, the charity aims to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25 percent, and is working towards achieving this goal by the year 2030.
Encouraging runners of all ages and abilities to take part, and to wear fun-filled costumes (let your imagination run wild!), along with the charity’s iconic statement moustache, the funp-run promises to be an unforgettable day out.
MoRunning’s David Krangel said: ‘We’re incredibly excited to be bringing MoRunning to Greenwich. The running series really is a feel-good, inclusive community event that is open to local people of all fitness abilities.
‘Participants experience a huge sense of achievement when crossing the finish line. They’re all rewarded with our iconic moustache finisher’s medal, and most importantly, it’s in aid of a fantastic charity that does incredible work.’
If you can’t make the London MoRun, the series will be taking place across a whole host of locations including Cardiff, Aberdeen, Dublin, Poole and Belfast, while there is even a virtual MoRun for those who can’t physically take part. Visit the website to find a MoRun near you.
