How many bedrooms are there in The Cavendish Hotel?
Dreaming of checking in at a gorgeous British hotel? We’ve partnered with The Cavendish Hotel to offer you the chance to win a luxury two-night stay in a Superior bedroom including a three-course evening meal each evening, a Full English breakfast, and a chilled bottle of Champagne upon arrival.
The Cavendish Hotel is a historic C18th coaching inn located in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Baslow. With its enviable location within The Chatsworth Estate, guests can take a 20-minute cross country stroll to the House itself, with over 100 acres of gardens and grounds waiting to be explored.
Owned by the Duke of Devonshire, the 28-bedroom Cavendish Hotel exudes comfort and country house style and offers a warm welcome. The ambience is peaceful yet polished, with an experienced team overseeing your every need. It’s an ideal base for discovering Chatsworth – and The Peak District itself, the UK’s oldest National Park.
Its 3 AA rosette Gallery restaurant, with its classic contemporary powder blue and silver décor makes for a special dining occasion. Guests will also love the newly refurbished Garden Room which opened in May. Interior designed by Nicola Harding overseen by Lady Burlington, the décor was inspired by Chatsworth art and interiors. This delightfully relaxed restaurant has been extended to create an outside dining area too, with its garden views, opening out to the Estate land beyond.
In both restaurants local, fresh, seasonal produce takes centre stage, and Head Chef, Adam Harper is a master of his art, creating mouth-watering menus to pay homage to local produce from the Peaks, including smoked trout from Ladybower Fisheries and home produced meats from Moss Valley Farm.
Of the 28 individually designed bedrooms, four are located in The Coach House. The Redesdale suite and Hartingdon suites offer guests the opportunity to enjoy their own individual lounge area, and all bedrooms offer generous proportions and sumptuous country house décor, overseen by the Duchess of Devonshire.
Chatsworth, one of England’s best-known stately homes, is renowned for the quality of its art, landscape and hospitality. The gardens themselves can while away a day, the result of nearly 500 years of careful cultivation and expertise with many captivating features and important sculptures. The Cavendish family are not simply preserving history, they are making history with their commitment to forward thinking creativity and sustainability.
