Nothing says celebration like champagne – particularly when served with a decadent home-cooked meal. The Mother’s Day box from Champagne Lanson contains all the ingredients for a three-course meal for between two and six people. On the menu: asparagus with truffle dressing followed by a succulent shoulder of Herdwick lamb that has been slow-cooked for 12 hours, served with roast potatoes, baby heirloom carrots and glazed roscoff onions. For dessert, it’s an apple tarte tatin – all washed down with a bottle of Lanson Le Rosé. From £130, order by 9 March. postboxbakery.com

Floristry classes with Daylesford
Daylesford is taking its popular floristry classes online, with a special event taking place for Mother’s Day. Originally held at the farm in the Cotswolds, the two-hour workshops are suitable for both beginners and experienced florists, and you’ll be sent everything you need beforehand – including fresh flowers from Daylesford’s organic cutting garden, plus containers and vases. £95, 11 March 2 – 4pm. daylesford.com
Mother’s Day Lunch from Chef’s Farms
Fresh, local produce lies at the heart of Chef’s Farms, an online shop which brings together goods from a group of Sussex farms. The company originally supplied produce to hospitality establishments in the area, but last year introduced a home delivery service with the aim of connecting customers to seasonal produce. Recently Chef’s Farms added DIY meal kits to its repertoire, with a themed box coming up for Mother’s Day. Designed for three to four adults, the box includes all the ingredients for a hearty roast, including pork belly, leek and cauliflower cheese, sauteed Hispi cabbage and crispy roast potatoes, followed by an apple and forced rhubarb crumble dessert. £66, chefsfarms.co.uk
Pottery making and flower arranging with Sculpd x Bloom & Wild
If your mother is a fan of crafts, this collaboration between Sculpd and Bloom & Wild is sure to fit the bill. Each kit contains a bunch of dried flowers, plus a clay pottery kit allowing you to make a hand-crafted vase to put them in. A video tutorial is included, plus flower arranging tips to ensure the finished product looks perfect. If you live with your mum or are in her support bubble, this is a lovely activity to enjoy together – but equally nice to send as a gift. £65, sculpd.co.uk

Before the session you’ll be sent a kit containing all the tools and oils needed to create your own candle, plus a bottle of gin and a cocktail recipe booklet. 13, 14 and 20 March, £55pp. earlofeast.com
