The Georgian city of Bath — known as the staycation destination for period drama lovers — has just got even more tantalising. Poised on one of Bath’s most aesthetically historic streets, No.15 by GuestHouse, Bath is now offering the chance for guests to uncover behind the scene spots with anecdotes so juicy that even Lady Whistledown would struggle to reveal.  

The new season two, dropping March 25 on Netflix, will focus on high society’s most infamous rake, which is of course: Antony Bridgerton, played by Johnathan Bailey. We’re also welcoming some new faces to the season: Edwina Sharma, and her sister Kate (played by Sex Education’s Simone Ashley).

Guests at No.15 by GuestHouse, Bath will be indulged in an exclusive Blue Badge Tour (that’s the highest qualification of guiding, mind you) with guide Fred Mawer as part of their Bask in Bridgerton package. You’ll be whisked along a walking tour, spotting the dwellings of Lady Danbury (effectively a neighbour of the hotel), as well as the Featheringtons. Cross fingers for wisteria clad facades.

As well as learning all the deliciously frothy details behind the show on what actually went down, Fred will also explain the history behind the featured locations, and compare how Bridgerton’s take on the Regency era actually squares up with the reality of the period. There’s no doubt your knowledge of the ton is of Whistledown standard before the day is out.

Of course, the tour is one thing, but whilst you’re a guest at the hotel, you can expect to be treated like any member of high society in the Regency era. Each room is clad with historical curios and objects d’art that all have a story — but don’t think that means there’s any skimping on any of the modern indulgences — Dyson hairdryers and cashmere mattresses dressed in Egyptian cotton linen come with every standard bedroom.

The Bask in Bridgerton package starts from £726 including a two-night stay in a Pulteney or Henrietta Room, breakfast on both mornings, afternoon tea on one of the days of stay, as well as dinner on one the evenings of stay and the two-hour walking tour.
