Over 300 teachers and educationalists attended the 2023 Bryanston Education Summit.

Head of Bryanston, Richard Jones, highlighted the importance of children loving their minds and using creative thought.

Jones said: ‘The rise of Artificial Intelligence, the metaverse and other advances in technology represent a paradigm shift in the employment landscape, so the ability to adapt, change and take new challenges in your stride is essential.’

A 21st Century Parenting event was held for the first time, a day prior to the Summit.

Over 100 parents attended the event which gave advice on the challenges of modern day parenting. Experts on self-harm, eating disorders and bullying were able to answer any questions from parents.

This year’s theme was ‘Learn to love your mind’, which focuses on the imagination, curiosity and creativity of children. 

CreativeHut, an official partner of LEGO Education, was also there to provide interactive workshops about creative thinking for the children.

Keynote speaker, Daljit Nagra, said: ‘Cultural and linguistic diversity provides fuel for the creative thought process.’

Director of the event, Stephen Davies, commented: ‘Our Summit provides a platform for sharing insights, exchanging ideas, and igniting inspired thinking.’

During the lunch break, visitors were treated to entertainment from the Bryanston music scholars.

Assistant Head at Bryanston, Will Bridges, said: ‘The thought provoking presentations from our speakers showed how we can think creatively about the different learning needs of pupils and how, as teachers, we can help every child fufil their potential.’
