Today, pupils across the country are celebrating their GCSE results. We share the results from independent schools across the UK.
Reigate Grammar School, Surrey
- Over two thirds of all GCSE grades at levels 8 and 9 (grades A*)
- Grade 9s made up nearly 40% of all grades (grade A**)
- 86% of grades are level 9-7 (grades A-A*)

Blundell’s School, Devon
- 13% of all grades awarded were a 9
- 30% of grades were at 9-8
- 49% of all grades were at 7, 8 or 9
Holme Grange School, Wokingham
- 100% pass rate in Further Maths, Food Technology, Sciences, Computer Science, DT, Geography, and languages including French, German, and Spanish.
- For BTEC, pupils are celebrating a 100% pass rate, of which 52% achieved a Distinction or higher, and a notable 29% were awarded the prestigious Distinction Star
St Swithun’s School, Hampshire
- 32% of results were at grade 9
- 62% were grades 9/8/A*
- 79% of results were grades 7/A
Woldingham School, Surrey
- Two thirds of this year’s GCSEs awarded at grades 9-7
- One fifth of students achieved nine or more grades 8 or 9
- Seven students received at at least nine grade 9s
St Benedict’s School, London
- 42.8% of all exams taken were graded 9-8 (A*)
- 69.3% were graded 9-7 (A*/A)
Malvern St James Girls’ School, Worcestershire
- Computer Science was 71% of grades 9-7, Maths 50% and Further Maths 67%
- 66% achieving grades 9-7 in Physics, 76% achieving 9-7 in Chemistry and 59% achieving 9-7 in Biology
Wolverhampton Grammar School, Wolverhampton
- 83% of the cohort awarded grades 9 – 6 (A*- B)
Our Lady’s Abingdon, Oxfordshire
- 95% of results are graded 9-4
- 48% graded 9-7 and 46% achieved at least one grade 9
