The rooftop venue is expanding even higher

Perched on the 38th and 39th floors of the Heron Tower, Sushisamba offers one of the best views of London’s skyline. And now the rooftop venue is set to get even more exciting, with a brand-new bar and private dining space on the way.

Samba Room: A New Bar Is Coming To Sushisamba

Arriving above Sushisamba’s famed restaurant this April is Samba Room, a new space for drinking and dining. In-keeping with the venue’s glitzy look, the 2500 sq ft space will feature dazzling interiors from Fabled Studio: guests will arrive through a canopy entrance into a mirrored walkway. Through here they’ll reach the sky bar, where you can enjoy cocktails while soaking up the city panoramas.

There will also be a lounge and private events space, which will continue Sushisamba’s Brazilian theme with orange and copper tones and tropical wood. This can also be turned into a private dining room, with a sculptural table lowering from the ceiling, accommodating up to 26 guests.

After originating in New York in 1999, Sushisamba opened its first London site in Bishopsgate’s Heron Tower back in 2012, with Duck & Waffle soon arriving above it. They were at the helm of the sky-high dining trend, inspiring a string of other restaurants and bars to open within the city’s skyscrapers. Hutong arrived at The Shard in 2013, for instance, followed by the Sky Garden within the Walkie Talkie in 2015.

Sushisamba’s restaurant blends Peruvian, Brazilian and Japanese cuisine, offering a high-end menu of sushi, nigiri, ceviche and robata grills, alongside vibrant cocktails.

The group now has branches in glamorous places all over the world, including Miami, Amsterdam, Dubai, Las Vegas and Edinburgh – plus a second venue in London’s Covent Garden. New launches are also on the cards for destinations including Milan, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
