What Does A Black Tie Dress Code Mean For A Wedding?
Generally, anything labelled ‘black tie’ refers to a formal dress code. In terms of what to wear, this entails that men wear a tuxedo, a white dress shirt, cufflinks, a black bow tie and smart black shoes, while women are expected to wear a full-length dress or a formal jumpsuit, teamed up with heels or flats. Weddings that have a black tie dress code will likely adhere to the rules above, with the only exception being that guests should not wear white dresses (unless otherwise stated) as this is traditionally a colour reserved for the bride.
