The Curriculum

We offer a balanced curriculum combining collaborative work, structured play and practical activities. Classes are small and children benefit from excellent teaching which focuses on helping them become readers and writers, confident in early numeracy and with well-developed social skills.

Games & The Arts

We see sport and exercise as vital to a child’s development. The sports facilities on our 28-acre site allow children to try out, and frequently excel in, multiple disciplines. They explore the Arts through regular Music and Drama performances.

Pastoral Care

We are a small school that adheres to traditional family values and strives to allow children to be children for as long as possible. Our mission is to develop a lifelong love of learning in our pupils while preparing them with the attitude and aptitude for Senior School and beyond. We know that happy children learn best and encourage all pupils to focus on their personal best.

Recent Scholarships

We have an enviable 100% success rate in first-choice Senior School entry. Over 66% of our pupils secure Scholarships.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

Tockington Manor is more than just a school. “Homely” is the word most often used to describe us. Our Headmaster believes in taking the time to find out what makes every Tockington child ‘tick’ and helping them to live out the school motto: ‘making the most of every moment’.

Outstanding Characteristics

Set in gorgeous South Gloucestershire countryside, our outdoor ethos is key to life at Tockington. From learning about fruit in our Kitchen Garden to discovering new species in Forest School; finding new trails during Cross Country or performing a music concert al fresco at the Summer Fair, we make the most of our unique and outstanding location.
