If your heart is set on seeing central London’s breathtaking fireworks display in the flesh, you’re in the right place. Here’s how to get tickets for London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks in 2024.

London New Year’s Eve Fireworks 2024: Tickets & More

It’s one of the world’s most famous fireworks displays, and it airs across the nation on BBC One in realtime. Of course, we can only be talking about London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks, which light up the South Bank as Big Ben beckons the new year with 12 mighty bongs.

If you’ve only ever watched on TV before, you might think people just head down at first light to snag a front-row spot – but this isn’t so. In fact, you cannot get up close to the fireworks display without a ticket, and there’s a whole exclusion zone for ticket holders to control crowding.

Ticket holders are assigned a viewing area: Blue, Red, Pink, Green, White or Orange for guests with accessibility requirements. These areas stretch along Victoria Embankment on the north side of the river, and along Belvedere Road and Albert Embankment to the south. Westminster, Hungerford and Golden Jubilee bridges will all be closed, but some lucky ticket holders will be assigned a viewing spot on Waterloo Bridge.

When Are Tickets On Sale?

The first batch of tickets will go on sale at midday on Friday 18 October. This will be followed by a to-be-announced second round of sales in December, so make sure you are registered for updates.

How Much Do Tickets Cost?

Ticket prices range from £20 to £50, depending on the zone and whether you are a London resident. London residents get a £15 discount on tickets, and use their London postcode when purchasing tickets.

Prices are as follows:

• Blue, Pink and White areas: £50 (£35 for Londoners)
• Red, Green and Orange areas: £35 (£20 for Londoners)

You can purchase up to four tickets in one transaction.
