Inside A Grade II Listed Georgian Mill That Was Once Kate Bush’s House
Perched on the River Kennet in Theale, West Berkshire, this handsome home has a whole lot of stories to tell: in 2011, the current owners purchased it from none other than Kate Bush, who had transformed some of the outbuildings into a rehearsal space and a recording studio.
Looking back as far as the 19th century, however, the property contains the ruins of a historic Georgian paper mill, and the river now provides enough hydropower to allow the estate to run self-sufficiently.
