Superior stacks in the capital

It’s just a couple of weeks until one of the most delicious days of the year: Shrove Tuesday. Also known as Pancake Day, it falls on 4 March in 2025 (here’s why it’s later than usual), and offers a great excuse to feast on a stack or two. Sure, you could whip up some batter and make your own at home, but if your flipping skills aren’t up to scratch, leave it to the professionals. London is home to an abundance of top-notch pancake spots, serving everything from the classic lemon and sugar to fluffy American-style to French crêpes and more. Read on for C&TH’s pick of the best pancakes in London for 2025.

The Finger Lickin’ Chicken is a decadent pancake dish featuring fried chicken, fried egg, pickled red onions and a blue cheese dressing, with the option to add halloumi or avocado.
