Hidden in Belgravia’s buzzy Eccleston Yards, Cornus is sure to be one of the city’s most in-demand rooftop spots come summer
Whether it’s for a crisp glass of wine at amie, to work up a sweat at Hot Pod Yoga or to pick up some pretty bites at Biscuiteers, Eccleston Yards is always a good idea – and here’s another reason to head over. Set across the top floor of the newly redeveloped Ice Factory, Cornus opened last summer and is making a splash with its fine-yet-relaxed approach to dining.

Restaurant Review: Cornus, Belgravia
From the team behind Chelsea’s acclaimed Medlar, Cornus is a real hidden gem. (At least it was when we visited: Cornus bagged a Michelin star in February 2025, just six months after opening. Get that table secured stat.) A stone’s throw from Victoria, nestled beside Eccleston Yards’ independent, fashionable shops, it’s an elevated yet laid back affair – perfect for a special occasion, romantic date night or even a low-key family celebration.
A glowing bar takes centre stage in this intimate, mid-century modern dining room. Crisp white linen-laid tables pair with buttery yellow banquettes and chairs, accented by wood, greens and tans, glowing amber wall lights and art, all wrapped up in floor-to-ceiling windows boasting skyline views and teasing the future possibility of summer evening glasses of crisp rose.
This elegant simplicity is channelled into the menu, too: rotating and seasonal, it’s all about the best of British and European ingredients, which all shine thanks to uncomplicated cooking and plating, grounded in traditional French cuisine. Think fresh seabass tartare, Devon crab, Scottish cod, milk fed Pyrenean lamb, line-caught squid and plenty more: decadent yet delicate flavours cooked and prepped to perfection.

On the dessert menu, comforting classics get the fine-dining treatment: think indulgent rice pudding with Yorkshire rhubarb and ginger, mille-feuille and apple tarte tatin. It’s all very graceful, refined and precise – yet totally accessible and delicious to boot. Wash it all down with wine selected by the sommelier team (industry stalwart Melania Battison joined by Lukasz Gorski, 2023’s World Young Sommelier of the Year), spanning classic fine wines, new varieties and gems discovered on Battison’s travels.
