Rumoured to be worth well over six figures (each) this year, the Oscars gift bags are easily one of the event's biggest highlights.
Every year, the film industry’s crème de la crème of actors, directors, designers and more come together to see who made it big at the Academy Awards. (And in 2025, the list of nominees sees big name productions like Wicked, Emilia Pérez, The Substance and A Complete Unknown battle it out for the top gongs.) But while talent sits front and centre at the awards show, behind the scenes is where you’ll find all the fun. Our top scoop? A look inside the 2025 Oscars gift bags, which boast a luxurious haul of holidays, wellness products, foodie treats and, on a slightly different note, disaster recovery services to aid those impacted by the LA fires earlier this year.
The Oscars 2025 Gift Bags Are Here (& They’re Stacked)
As one of the most influential awards in the world, it’s safe to say that the Oscars embodies the phrase ‘go big, or go home.’ With an A-list guest list, a historic venue (this year it’s the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood), a premium menu and some of the year’s biggest releases in film, the Academy Awards certainly doesn’t do things by halves.
This ethos carries across the event’s gift bags, which have gained more and more attention over the years due to their increasing flamboyancy. Last year’s, for example, was valued at over $170,000 USD (approximately £132,308) and contained luxury-level swag, including microneedling treatments, kitchen appliances and holidays to Switzerland, the Caribbean and a wellness retreat in California.
And for 2025, it seems the team behind the gift bags, Distinctive Assets, is determined to level up their offering.
Who Gives Them Out?
The ‘Everyone Wins’ Nominee Gift Bags are given out every year by Los Angeles marketing company Distinctive Assets – not the Oscars themselves. Organisers of the awards haven’t given ceremony attendees official gift bags since 2006, due to tax scrutiny.
The gift bags are curated by Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary, who has been working on the project for over two decades.

Who Gets A Gift Bag?
Only official Oscars nominees from the year’s cohort will receive a gift bag. ‘This is something we do independently of the Academy, with the intention of brightening someone’s day if they do go home empty-handed on Oscars night,’ said Fary in a recent Instagram post. ‘[The gift bags this year] also include some simple yet significant ways for these nominees to give back.’
What’s Inside The Oscars Gift Bags?
The Oscars gift bags for 2025 are no less grand than in previous years, with multiple holidays both in the US and abroad, beauty products and services (including liposuction and cannabis) and luxury treats spanning handmade chocolates and artisanal popcorn padding out a pretty impressive six-figure value on each bag.
It’s quite a jump from last year’s $170,000 price tag – but the difference is marked by new ‘giving back’ framework, in light of the LA fires that destroyed over 11,500 homes earlier this year. ‘While our gifts may be famous for being fun and fabulous, they also serve as a means to elevate small businesses, minority-owned brands, female entrepreneurs and companies that give back,’ said Fary. ‘This year, on the heels of the historically tragic LA fires, we have found even more ways that our celebrity swag can do good in our community.
‘We have teamed up with Bright Harbor, a disaster recovery service that helps survivors navigate insurance, government assistance and vetting vendors for remediation,’ he added. ‘Each nominee is going to receive a one-year membership, alongside 10 one-year memberships valued at over $3,500 each that they can share with friends, family and neighbours.
‘Whether [the nominees] pamper themselves or share these bountiful gifts as a care package for a friend who may have recently lost their home, we give these gifts not based on the recipients’ need but out of a desire to brighten someone’s day and to acknowledge a job well done.’
