How to make the one-pot pasta from With Love, Meghan

In Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, we’re invited into her kitchen as she prepares to host friends old and new. Naturally, that means there’s a lot of cooking involved, with Meghan showcasing some of her signature recipes – from honey lemon cake to kimchi. But the dish that’s got people talking most? A skillet spaghetti, which she tells viewers she regularly cooks for Prince Harry and their children, Archie and Lilibet.
Meghan Markle’s Skillet Spaghetti Is Trending – Here’s Why
In the first episode of the series, Meghan is joined by her friend, make-up artist Daniel Martin. For the occasion, she whizzes up a one-pan pasta dish cooked in a somewhat unconventional way: dried spaghetti, cherry tomatoes and feta are placed in a skillet pan, then boiling water is poured on top. ‘You put the dry pasta in, you pour boiling water on top, and that’s it,’ she says, adding: ‘I will make enough that I can put leftovers in my kid’s lunchbox.’
The dish has proved controversial, with some suggesting it goes against the basics of Italian cookery. Yet others have praised its simplicity – as Meghan says in the show, cooking should be about joy and not perfection. Granted, it’s nothing complicated, but aren’t we all looking for easy, delicious dishes to make mid-week? If you’re in the latter camp, read on to find out how to make the one-pot pasta at home.
