Try dishes from the show at this unique London dining experience

Great British Menu may be over for another year, but the stars of the show are continuing to  cook up a storm in their respective restaurants across the country. And now, one of the 2025 contestants, Eran Tibi, is bringing fans a taste of the TV with a one-night-only supper club experience at his Soho restaurant Kapara.

Eran Tibi To Host Great British Menu Supper Club

On 1 May 2025, Tibi will cook up a six-course feast inspired by the ‘Great Britons’ menu he showcased on series 20 of Great British Menu – complete with the props seen on screen. The interactive evening will take diners on a gastronomic journey through his full menu from the London and South-East heats, complete with tales from the show.

The menu will include An Ode to the Wilding Women, a vegan watermelon dish inspired by the Suffragette movement, which sees watermelon coated in sumac, horseradish and seaweed. Diners can also try the Self, Unchartered Waters fish course: trout served two ways, shawarma style and hot-smoked. The main, meanwhile, is a tribute to Amy Winehouse titled Nan’s Meshuguana, featuring corn-fed chicken, carrot noodles, celery and shiitake in a soup broth.

The evening will finish on a sweet note with The Queen of Punk: a suitably stylish dish dedicated to Vivienne Westwood, a white chocolate pistachio cheesecake with a black tahini cookie base.

Diners are invited to pull up a stool at the counter for a front-row seat into the mind of the Israeli-born chef. Tibi trained at Le Cordon Bleu London before honing his Middle Eastern cooking craft during a stint at Ottolenghi, then setting up Made in Camden with Josh Katz at the Roundhouse. He went on to set up two solo ventures: acclaimed Southwark restaurant Bala Baya, and Kapara in Soho, which is inspired by the rooftop bars of Tel Aviv.

For those who can’t make the supper club, four of Tibi’s dishes from the show are now available on Kapara’s à la carte menu.

Tibi was one of 24 chefs to star on season 20 of Great British Menu. We saw him competing against fellow London and South-East chefs Jean Delport, Jason Howard and Eve Seeman, with Delport ultimately winning the round and going through to the final.

How To Book

The supper club will take place on 1 May from 7pm, tickets cost £90pp with an optional wine pairing. Book at sevenrooms.com.
