Had a few too many drinks this festive season? This ultimate green smoothie recipe will banish any party hangovers and turbo-boost your health kick for 2017.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300ml coconut water
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 100g blueberries
  • Handful of spinach
  • 1 teaspoon of Beyond Greens
  • 1 tablespoon Ultimate Oil Blend
  • 1 tablespoon nut butter
  • Lemon juice (optional)

METHOD

Transfer all the ingredients into a blender and blend on high until smooth.

Coconut water is packed with antioxidants, vitamin C amino acids, enzymes and B-complex vitamins. This electrolyte-rich drink is great for quick rehydration when hungover.

Bananas are a good source of fibre while blueberries are one of the best sources of antioxidants. Spinach is loaded with vitamins and is high in niacin and zinc.

Beyond greens contains fatty acids, greens, phytonutrients, and B vitamins, which all help to heal the liver after too much partying. It also contains spirulina and chlorella, which are a source of protein, vitamins and minerals, aiding a quick recovery.
