Fancy a private distillery visit and a luxury hotel stay? You’re in luck: we’ve partnered with Penrhos Spirits to offer one reader the chance to win a visit to the distillery at Penrhos Farm plus a tasting of the full range, as well as an overnight stay at the luxury cottages in Penrhos Court.
Mark your calendars for World Bee Day on 20 May: Penrhos Spirits is celebrating for the third year running with a delicious hot honey twist on a gin cocktail favourite, the Chilli Bee’s Knees.
Penrhos Spirits are made from imperfectly perfect fruit from Penrhos Farm that would otherwise go to waste, unable to be sold. The team at Penrhos is reliant on the pollination of bees to grow their wobbly apples, wonky rhubarb, wibbly blueberries and honey from the apiaries to create award-winning small-batch spirits.
Without the bees, Penrhos Spirits simply wouldn’t exist. So, every May, Penrhos raises a glass to these incredible pollinators. This year, the team at Penrhos will be raising a toast to their bees on the farm with an exclusive cocktail, the Chilli Bee’s Knees. World Bee Day celebrations also follow the transition of Penrhos’ award-winning spirits into 100% recycled aluminium bottles, as part of a wider commitment to sustainability and the environment at Penrhos farm.
To join in on raising much-needed awareness for the bees, Penhros is offering one lucky reader the opportunity to visit the distillery and stay in a luxury countryside retreat at Penrhos Court.
The team at Penrhos will be inviting two people to visit their scenic distillery in the Herefordshire countryside for a private tour and tasting. Following an afternoon of gin-sampling, simply walk to Penrhos Court for an evening of comfort and relaxation. A collection of newly restored cottages, Penrhos Court is home to an exceptional restaurant, breathtaking views and an eclectic history, having previously welcomed Queen and Monty Python members as a former celebrity hideaway.
This is the perfect location for a romantic weekend in the countryside. And for a souvenir to remember the weekend, the team at Penrhos will also be handing you a bottle of each of their flavours in the new aluminium refillable and recyclable bottles, along with a Chilli Bee’s Knees cocktail kit so you can try the recipe at home.
