Fancy a wonderful waterfront staycation? You’re in luck: we’ve partnered with Leeds Castle to offer you the chance to win an overnight stay for two people at one of their newly-opened luxury Lakeside Lodges, with breakfast and dinner for two included (served in the 17th century oak-beamed Castle View Restaurant, no less). Read on for the details.
Located near Maidstone, Kent, Leeds Castle’s new Lakeside Lodges offer an exclusive stay for guests seeking a serene getaway surrounded by nature. Accessed via a private walkway that meanders through the captivating Lady Baillie Mediterranean Garden Terraces, the lodges offer direct entry to the historic Grade I listed Leeds Castle – which is steeped in over 900 years of history – as well as its extensive range of amenities and facilities.
The Lakeside Lodges provide private decks and a floor-to-ceiling window through which you can observe plenty of birds across the expansive Great Water; the properties are even equipped with binoculars, so you can catch glimpses of blue tits, robins and goldcrests alongside swans, ducks and wildfowl. (It’s certainly picturesque scene to enjoy while having a soak in the luxurious outdoor bathtub.) Come nightfall, you can admire the night sky through the stargazing skylight directly above your bed.
The bespoke design of each lodge has been inspired by the enchanting local wildlife residing within the castle grounds, with the soft furnishings offering an exclusive, distinctive design crafted by Leeds Castle’s seamstress and local artist Petronella Hall.
Sustainability takes the lead in both design and production of the lodges, built using UK-grown timber and home-grown charred larch to minimise carbon footprint. There is also a biodiversity and landscape strategy in place that nurtures thriving habitats for nature within the castle’s grounds.
Want to experience these luxurious lodges yourself? Enter our competition now for your chance.
Competition closes on 1 June 2024.
