Mirabelle has started a new chapter

From converted pubs and members’ clubs to apartments inside historic landmarks, we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to standout properties in London. This development, however, is particularly unique: not only does it represent the transformation of Mayfair’s celebrity hotspot, Mirabelle, but it also features residences designed by none other than Thierry Despont – the architect behind the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. Here’s everything you need to know about 60 Curzon.

60 Curzon: Is This Mayfair’s Most Exclusive Address?

In its heyday, Mayfair’s Mirabelle was much more than a restaurant – it was a legendary haunt frequented by the London elite. Dating back to 1936, it was allegedly favoured by Winston Churchill (and, more recently, the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kylie Minogue). It even earned a Michelin star under British chef Marco Pierre White.

While you can no longer order a meal at Mirabelle, you can live there – and if you do, you’re still likely to spot a host of big names walking the halls, as the storied site has now been converted into 32 utterly luxurious private residences. Bearing the name 60 Curzon, this just might be one of London’s most exclusive developments.

Why? Well, prices start at £3 million. Plus (and perhaps more importantly), this is the first and only private residential building in Europe that was designed by the late Thierry Despont, the famous architect responsible for the restoration of Claridge’s, the Ritz in Paris, and the Statue of Liberty.

It’s safe to say, then, that 60 Curzon is a magical spot. Its 32 homes include gorgeous pied-à-terres and breathtaking duplex penthouses, all arranged around a picture-perfect courtyard garden. Combined, the residences amass more than 10,000 square feet of space from their private terraces alone.

While both of the penthouses are complete with their own amenities, every resident of 60 Curzon can expect access to a rather jaw-dropping collection of exclusive facilities. There’s a state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre with a sauna, steam room, gym and 20-metre swimming pool, not to mention private fitness studios and treatment suites. You’ll also find a Club Lounge serving as a gorgeous workspace and meeting room – alongside a number of temperature-controlled rooms to accommodate anything from fine wine to cigars.

Meanwhile, the site’s culinary legacy continues: paying homage to Mirabelle and its illustrious past, 60 Curzon also contains a five-star destination restaurant complete with opulent private dining rooms for residents. You’d be hard pressed to find somewhere more glamorous than this.
