Frank Sinatra’s California Home Is Up For Sale
When he wasn’t captivating audiences with his legendary crooning, Frank Sinatra needed somewhere to unwind, and this glamorous home served as his California hideaway. Built in 1970 and known as Villa Maggio (after Sinatra’s role as Angelo Maggio in the 1953 film From Here To Eternity), the property stands in a secluded 7.5 acre compound in Palm Desert. It encompasses a five-bedroom main house alongside a detached three-bedroom guest house and a one-bedroom pool house – plus some pretty spectacular amenities.
Sinatra frequently entertained guests in the gardens and made use of the tennis court and resort-style swimming pool. However, there’s also plenty of space for parties in the huge kitchen and impressive reception rooms in the main house, as well as on the magnificent terrace, which provides wide-reaching views of the desert below.
The pool house boasts two saunas, a kitchenette and a fire pit, while the two-storey guest house is complete with three bedroom suites, each with a kitchenette, bathroom and private deck. The best part? There’s a helipad, ensuring that everyone can arrive in style. (Palm Springs International Airport is 26 miles away – a short trip by helicopter.)
This remarkable estate is the only remaining Sinatra property that has not been altered for new buyers, and it still showcases all original features including warm wood, local stone and vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. Perched on a hilltop 4,300 feet above the desert, it’s certainly a remarkable California sanctuary fit for a musical icon.
Want to be the next owner of Sinatra’s pad? It’s available through Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices California for $3.995 million.
