Peek inside the pied-à-terre of rock & roll royalty
Just a few days ago, a landmark listing hit the property market: a spectacular townhouse on a street once inhabited by multiple members of the Rolling Stones. The latest luxury launch, however? Mick Jagger’s very own London home. Here’s the rundown.
Inside Harley House, Mick Jagger’s London Home

Wondering what Mick Jagger’s former home might look like? Step inside a lavish Edwardian mansion block in Marylebone and you’ll find out.
Although the building itself dates back as far as 1903, Mick Jagger began sub-leasing a penthouse there in 1966, shortly before he began a relationship with singer Marianne Faithfull. (The Marylebone location was particularly handy for Jagger since it was just a short stroll away from his Harley Street doctor).
By 1967, Jagger had become known for hosting some rather memorable parties at the apartment – with guests including bandmate Keith Richards and even, apparently, Princess Margaret.

While the penthouse might not look exactly like it did during the swinging sixties, it’s certainly luxurious: expect enormous windows, 10-foot ceilings, and nearly 2,500 square feet of space. A grand entrance hall leads into two interconnecting reception rooms – a drawing room and a dining room – which are both complete with parquet flooring and French doors. From here, you can head out onto a sprawling balcony which runs the entire width of the apartment.

Just off the dining room is the sleek kitchen/breakfast room, which showcases handsome stone flooring and a huge central island. A utility room is tucked away next door, and there are three guest bedrooms at the back of the property (though they currently serve as a home cinema and an elegant library/home office).

The principal suite – formerly Mick Jagger’s bedroom – is kitted out with a spacious dressing area, plenty of built-in storage, and a palatial bathroom featuring a freestanding bathtub, a double vanity unit and a walk-in shower.
