Nestled in the rural town of Winchelsea is this wonderfully wonky cottage, which was once home to Irish comedian, playwright and actor Spike Milligan. Fast forward a few years and it’s now complete with three lovely bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a tranquil garden.

Inside, you’ll spot a host of charming features including wooden ceiling beams, a wood-burning fireplace, and even a handsome AGA in the farmhouse-style kitchen. The garden, meanwhile, is kitted out with a handy garage and a summerhouse.

While the property is perfectly positioned to command some glorious countryside views, it’s also just a thirty-minute walk from the seaside. Perhaps most excitingly, however, it also happens to stand directly opposite Paul McCartney’s private recording studio, Hog Hill Mill.
