Beverly Hills

Whether you want to shop for diamonds on Rodeo Drive or grab a cocktail at the Beverly Hills Hotel, there are plenty of glitzy spots in Beverly Hills. It’s no surprise, then, that the area is home to more than a few celebrities – including Taylor Swift, who lives in a sprawling Georgian-style manor on Laurel Lane (which she purchased for $25 million back in 2015). The property was formerly owned by the great film director Samuel Goldwyn, and it was even designated a historic landmark by The Beverly Hills City Council in 2017.

You’ll find other big names in exclusive gated communities in Beverly Hills: Jennifer Lawrence owns a house in Hidden Valley Estates, while Denzel Washington resides in Beverly Park, another ultra-private enclave (which is also home to Justin and Hailey Bieber). Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck formerly owned a $68 million compound in the luxurious Beverly Hills Post Office area, but it hit the market this summer after the couple split up (again).

Malibu

You’ll find Courteney Cox’s dreamy beachfront mansion in Malibu (containing, of course, her coveted kitchen), while Cher’s property portfolio includes a rather magnificent home on the Pacific Coast Highway (although she did put it on the market for $75 million in 2023).

Bel Air

A host of celebrities live in the Bel Air area of LA: Beyoncé and Jay Z rented homes in Malibu and Holmby Hills before buying an $88 million Bel Air estate in 2017. JLo also owned a lavish, French-inspired villa in the area – until late 2023, when she sold it for $34 million – while Jennifer Aniston has resided in a mid century Bel Air mansion since 2011.

Santa Monica

Jamie Lee Curtis purchased a Spanish-style mansion in Santa Monica with her husband, Christopher Guest, in 1992, and the couple still lives there today.

Currently, her portfolio also encompasses a $15.9 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills. The area was previously popular among celebrities including Harry Styles and Robert Pattinson.
