The WandaVision spin off is coming very soon

A new Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries is coming to Disney+ imminently, and we’ve got all the details. Here’s everything you need to know about Agatha All Along – plus a first look at the trailer.

Agatha All Along: Plot, Release Date, Trailer & More

With development beginning as early as October 2021, Agatha All Along is an upcoming WandaVision spin-off focussing on Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) – and the trailer has finally arrived. Watch it below.

What Will Happen In Agatha All Along?

At the end of WandaVision, Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) is trapped in the town of Westview, New Jersey – and Agatha All Along kicks off with the witch all out of power and unable to escape. But then a mysterious teenage goth (Joe Locke) helps her break free from the spell, and so, when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, Agatha’s interest is piqued. The Witches’ Road is a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Hahn and Locke’s characters pull together a desperate coven and set off down the road…

What Is It Based On?

Agatha All Along isn’t based on any specific comic book, but rather the character created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. Agatha Harkness first appeared in the Fantastic Four series in October 1969, debuting as the governess of Franklin Richards and an ally of the superhero team. She is a powerful witch and one of the original subjects of the Salem witch trials, and is known for having trained the Scarlet Witch/Wanda in the art of magic.

The Title

It seems Disney has settled on Agatha All Along, after various working titles for the series, including Agatha: House of Harkness, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe, and simply Agatha.

So was this indecision, or just a bit of fun? Disney claims the latter, saying – upon the announcement of the official, final title – that all the switches and swaps were ‘orchestrated by [Harkness] as a way of messing with Marvel fans’. Pesky witch.
