Belgravia in Bloom 2022 returns this May (23 – 29) with the theme ‘Beautifully British’ for a week-long celebration of all things floral, encouraging visitors to enjoy everything that the coveted London district has to offer.

Belgravia in Bloom 2022: What’s it’s about?

Returning for its seventh year, Belgravia in Bloom 2022 will flaunt the most gorgeous floral displays and lively experiences around the borough, all centred around the theme ‘Beautifully British’ — apt for this summer’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations. All the top restaurants and boutique stores around the iconic streets of Pimlico Road, Elizabeth Road, Motcomb Street are getting involved: think special offers (Biscuiteers and Wild by Tart are getting involved), Beautifully British themed dishes, floral exhibits, and sure to be lots more.

You can expert a flurry of gorgeously arranged floral arches and sculptures all around the borough — which is a mere walk away from Chelsea Flower Show 2022.

We’ll be updating this page as soon as we hear more

We’ll have to keep waiting in suspense as more information rolls in, but here’s everything we know so far. Word on the street is that many of the floral arches and installations will be crafted by local Belgravia florists Neill Strain and Moyses Stevens.

Tom Tom Coffee has just unveiled their stunning Alice in Wonderland themed floral façade. We’re especially loving the cards, red and white roses scattered amongst the greenery.

Halkin Arcade: ‘Little Ben’

Belgravia florist Neill Strain (@neillstrain) will be creating a ‘Little Ben’ installation in the Halkin Arcade. It looks like it’s one to be viewed in the round; with blue and red monarchical flowers lining the walls of Big Ben, and a bed of beautiful flora with hues of purples, blues, and pinks encircling it all.

Eccleston Yards: Tea Garden

Designed by Moyses Stevens, the Tea Garden features a pouring teapot (a nod to traditional British culture) in Eccleston Yards in London.

Elizabeth Street: The Queen’s Head

This floral installation is a 50 pence piece featuring the Queen’s head unveiled on Elizabeth Street in London, and designed by florist Moyses Stevens for the Belgravia in Bloom festival, running from May 23-29, London.

Spring Fair at Chelsea Barracks

Running for three days (from 25 – 27 May May) the Chelsea Barracks will be abloom with their Spring Fair that’s running alongside Chelsea Flower Show 2022. Consider it a cultural hub of sorts that’s all around the theme of sustainability — so think garden seminars, an artisan market, food stalls — all, of course, in the company of stunning flora.

In the theme of sustainability, it’s no surprise that it will be Royal Warrant Holder Shane Connolly will be creating a floral installation this year for Chelsea Barracks since his work is typified as sustainable; using flowers in season and using renewable and recyclable energy in their studio.  On Thursday 26 May at 2pm, as part of the sustainable seminars, Shane Connolly will be speaking about sustainability and making bouquets — not one to miss. Floral Themed DIY biscuit making at Biscuiteers

At Belgravia’s Biscuiteers Cafe, you’ll get to try you own hand at icing painting floral biscuits. You’ll get three complementary biscuits as you go, a hand-illustrated gift box as all part of your ticket.

Botanical Cloth Dyeing at Anna Mason London

Fancy turning your hand at botanical cloth dyeing? Now’s your chance. Anna Mason London is hosting such a workshop at the acclaimed textile dye house, Cloth Collective. You’ll be welcomed with a chilled glass of summer rose (lovely) and create your own natural dyes, and be able to take some home. This will be all whilst Charlotte and Kate from Cloth Collective will be chatting about the practise of the craft.
