Gather your gal pals
Valentine’s Day is coming thick and fast, which means one thing for the single girls in the room: Galentine’s Day is almost here. Here are nine unique ways to celebrate in 2025.
What Is Galentine’s Day?
Galentine’s Day is an annual celebration of female friendship, celebrated to rebut Valentine’s Day and all of its saccharine romance. Originally dreamed up by the writers on sitcom Parks and Recreation, Galentine’s Day’s roots can be traced back to February 2010. In the years since, the day has evolved into a global celebration of friendship, singledom and love in all of its forms. It is traditionally observed on 13 February, but many choose to celebrate Galentine’s on Valentine’s Day itself as a direct rebuttal.
Typical Galentine’s Day celebrations include cocktail making, collage crafting, movie nights and sleepovers – but here we’ve gathered nine fun ways to celebrate out and about in 2025.

Swap Gifts
Who said you need a Valentine to receive a romantic gift? Team up with your gals to gift each other something special this year. Here are six ideas to get you started.
Valentine’s Book Club
Treehouse Hotel London is launching a new book club in partnership with Bloomsbury Publishing, and the inaugural edition is a Valentine’s special. Hosted in The Nest with its 360-degree London skyline views, guests will be greeted by a ‘blind date with a book’ from one of five female authors – Kate Fagan, Bal Khabra, Bianca Gillam, Alex Aster and Moira Mcdonald – and can explore the space and meet likeminded booklovers while sipping ‘Page Turner Punch’ and nibbling on light bites. Then a romantic literature quiz will put bookworms to the test, with the winning team receiving a lucky dip of prizes. Guests will also receive a goodie bag filled with products from LUSH’s 2025 Valentine’s Day collection as well as a book and a treat from Treehouse, all packaged in a Bloomsbury tote.
Details: 6–8pm Monday 10 February 2025 at The Nest, Treehouse Hotel London (14-15 Langham Pl, London W1B 2QS). Tickets are £15 and can be booked here.
