Nowadays, Jeremy Clarkson is most famous for his farming show Clarkson’s Farm – but his original gig was all about cars. The TV presenter spent years hosting shows like The Grand Tour, which aired its final episode in 2024. However, this March he’ll be returning to the motoring world, this time as a guest star on Car SOS.
Jeremy Clarkson To Star In New Series Of Car SOS
Clarkson will feature in the 13th season of Car SOS on National Geographic, a vehicle repair show in which presenters Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend restore classic cars to their former glory. At the end of the process, the cars are returned to their owners in an often emotional reveal – and in the new series, one of these unveilings will take place at Clarkson’s Cotswolds farm, Diddly Squat.
‘Even though it was a busy time for Jeremy on the farm, I reached out to his long-time assistant and explained the story behind the car,’ said Shaw. ‘It was an all-or-nothing request: “Could we come to his home and reveal the car to its owner?” To my surprise, she got back to me almost immediately after speaking with Jeremy – and the answer was yes. We were all totally stunned.’
Shaw also said he was pleasantly surprised by how ‘accommodating and kind’ Clarkson was, inviting all 60 members of the Car SOS team into his home. ‘He genuinely cared about the wellbeing of both the team and, most importantly, the car’s owner,’ added Shaw.
The series will follow the same format as previous seasons, with the official synopsis reading: ‘Each episode weaves in personal stories that highlight the emotional connection between the owner and their vehicle. Heartfelt interviews with friends and family reveal why the car means so much, building anticipation for the key moment: the big reveal where the owner is surprised with their beautifully restored car.’

Alongside Clarkson, series 13 will see guest appearances from the likes of comedian Johnny Vegas and car expert Mike Brewer, with more names soon to be announced.
Clarkson rose to fame presenting car shows, presenting Top Gear alongside James May and Richard Hammond in 2002 to 2015. The trio went on to launch The Grand Tour, in which they travelled around the world meeting automobile manufacturers and driving cars. It ran for six seasons before ending last year, but in recent years Clarkson’s biggest focus has been his Amazon Prime show Clarkson’s Farm, which is returning for a fourth season this spring.
The new season of Car SOS starts on National Geographic UK on 13 March at 8pm.
