Clarkson’s Farm Star Lisa Hogan Is Writing Her First Book

We’re just a few weeks away from the hotly anticipated release of Clarkson’s Farm season four. But that’s not the only insight we’re getting into life on Diddly Squat this year: in October, Jeremy Clarkson’s girlfriend Lisa Hogan will publish her first book, documenting her take on life on the Cotswolds farm.

Titled My Animals and Other Eejits, the book will take readers on a year in the farm, from lambing season to harvest time. We’ll hear about Hogan’s life running the Diddly Squat Farm Shop, her foray into the mushroom world and the ‘constant derailments from red tape and tractor mishaps.’ Hogan will also share stories from her childhood, growing up in Dublin’s Sandymount, and life before Clarkson’s Farm, including her former work as a model, actor and sculptor.

‘Barely a day goes by at Diddly Squat without a brilliant or bizarre adventure,’ says Hogan. ‘I’m so excited to share this book of revelations, tips and trip ups. It tells the story of a year of crops, breeding, overalls and offspring on the farm, where baler twine is as valuable as a Wall Street commodity. It’s been a joy to write and I’m thrilled to be working with the good people at Penguin Random House to bring it into the world.’

Hogan isn’t the first Clarkson’s Farm star to write a book. Fan favourite Kaleb Cooper has also published a number of them, including It’s a Farming Thing and Kaleb’s Farmyard Tales.

Clarkson’s Farm is one of Prime’s biggest ever hits. The series will return for a fourth season this May, focusing on the launch of Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, which launched in August 2024 just down the road from Diddly Squat. It will also feature a cameo from none other than Prince William, who visits Diddly Squat as part of a campaign raising awareness for mental health care for farmers.
