Selling Sunset heads to Spain

Whether you love them or hate them, there’s no denying that property shows are having a moment– and Netflix’s latest offering is Making It In Marbella, a six-part TV series landing in October.

Making It In Marbella: Everything We Know So Far

What’s The Show About?

Following the typical property show formula, Making It In Marbella focuses on a group of real estate agents as they take on the luxury market. While the stars of Selling Sunset hailed from LA’s Oppenheim Group and Buying London was all about Instagram’s Daniel Daggers, Making It In Marbella is centred on Homerun Brokers, one of Marbella’s leading luxury brokerage firms (which is, in fact, comprised of Swedish estate agents). The show will document the brand’s most glamorous deals (and, of course, all the gossip that emerges from them).

The official summary of the series reads: ‘In the most luxurious area on the sunny Spanish coast, Swedish real estate brokers earn millions by selling stunning homes to the rich and famous. The series revolves around Homerun Brokers and the firm’s young agents as they navigate their personal and professional lives. In Marbella, it’s a quick ride to the top, but the downfall can come sooner than expected.’

Making It In Marbella will consist of six episodes, all of which are unscripted. Expect Netflix’s tried-and-tested combination of jaw-dropping properties and high-octane office drama.

Who Are Marbella’s Homerun Brokers?

Homerun Brokers was launched in 2020 by Swedish founder and CEO Eric Ebbing. The team now consists of 24 agents from around the world – all battling it out to prove themselves and secure some truly dizzying property sales.

Alongside Ebbing, one of the show’s biggest stars is Matias Concha, a former professional footballer who now enjoys a successful real estate career. Concha has described the show as a ‘fly-on-the-wall’ experience: ‘The filming crew were with us almost every day for three months, so they won’t have missed a thing,’ he states.

Ebbing himself adds that viewers can enjoy ‘some of Marbella’s most breathtaking properties and stunning Mediterranean views, the best and most exclusive social spots in the region, and of course, a bit of drama, as our brokers strive to be the best in Marbella.’

When Is The Show Streaming?

All six episodes of Making It In Marbella will be available on 1 October in 12 different languages, including English, Swedish, French, Spanish, German and Italian. netflix.com
