This Global Family-Friendly Members Club Will Launch In London In January

London is the private members club capital of the world, with countless low-key yet lavish institutions to its name. While modern additions to the scene are outshining some of the stuffier (if exquisitely storied) venues today – and creative clubs have stolen the spotlight from more business-focused venues – a long legacy with a commitment to cultivating communities means private members clubs are here to stay. The latest trend? Family oriented clubs, from Jesse’s House and Cloud Twelve to Teeny House at White City House. And the latest opening? NEXUS Club London, a new kid on the London block which has already gained a loyal legion of members across the Atlantic. Here’s what you need to know.

NEXUS Club London Will Open In January 2025

Helmed by the Tavistock Group with shareholders including Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake, NEXUS is moving from strength to strength. With buzzy upscale New York sports bar T-Squared Social – and a second outpost in St Andrew’s slated for spring 2025 – under its belt and the first NEXUS club attracting a loyal crowd in New York, the brand’s sights are now set on London, the members club capital of the world.

But NEXUS has even more luxurious beginnings: its first project was Albany, an ultra exclusive oceanside resort community in the Bahamas – the brainchild of British billionaire Joe Lewis and his investment organisation Tavistock Group (the proud owners of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, fyi) along with Ernie Els, Woods and Timberlake. Described as a sportsperson’s paradise, Albany’s utopian island perks are wrapped up in a NEXUS Global Membership which, along with NEXUS Club New York, makes this a truly comprehensive package.

NEXUS Club London Amenities & Services

Spanning four floors, the state-of-the-art South Kensington Club will be home to:

• A gym with cutting edge cardi and strength and conditioning equipment, plus space for classes
• A holistic wellness programme with treatments, personal training, physiotherapy, acupuncture, reflexology and more
• Full Swing sport simulators with up to 14 sports available, as well as lessons for adults and juniors
• The Harrington Bar, a vibrant bar and lounge
• A cafe offering casual dining and a flexible work space
• An outdoor terrace for summer drinks
• Private meeting, dining and event spaces, including for group sports viewing
• Flexible work spaces
• The Den, an area dedicated to children, and The Games Room geared towards older children
• A programme of events tailored to adults and children alike, including excursions

While families are at the heart of NEXUS, some spaces will be adult-only, with others subject to a phone ban, too. The Harrington Bar, for example, will welcome guests aged 18 and over and ban phones to create a vibrant, social atmosphere, with monthly mixers with live music and DJs, too. Meanwhile, while The Cafe will mainly host working adults in the week, it’ll be a hub of family activity come the weekend, with planned activities and a more casual environment.
