Just look out for the peach

Londoners love to discuss the weather at the best of times, but it’s a whole new story when the sun comes out. With this week set to be another sweltering one, whether it’s the temperature of the Central line or the Victoria line, which park is the shadiest or which handheld fan is the most powerful, Londoners always manage to strike up a conversation when temperatures soar, especially bemoaning how hard it is to find some sweet, cool relief when you’re out and about in the concrete jungle. This week, however, Rekorderlig Cider is coming to our rescue with the world’s first peach-shaped ‘Cold Sauna’ right in the heart of the city. Here’s what you need to know.

How To Visit Rekorderlig’s Cold Sauna This Week

What Is It?

Rekorderlig Cider is opening a peach-shaped cold sauna in the heart of the City this week. Positioned right by Liverpool Street and kept at a refreshing 16°C, city workers will be able to straight hop off the Central Line – often dubbed London’s worst tube line, and 2023’s hottest – to cool off.

Embracing the brand’s Swedish roots, the peach-shaped ‘sauna’ has been launched in celebration of Rekorderlig’s new Peach-Raspberry flavour – so you’ll be able to sample that, too, for some added refreshment. In the wake of Pantone’s peach fuzz colour of the year, this cold sauna is bang on trend.

When & Where?

Rekorderlig Cider’s Cold Sauna will debut on Thursday 22 August 2024 outside Broadgate Tower (20 Primrose St, Broadgate, London EC2M 3AF), from midday until 6pm. Be quick: the first 200 visitors will receive a complimentary can of Rekorderlig’s new Peach-Raspberry cider. Pop inside, cool off, and sip on the fruity refreshment.

After its Broadgate debut, the Cold Sauna will visit Hackney Bridge (Units 1-28, Echo Building, East Bay Ln, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E15 2SJ) from 23–27 August 2024, and then pop up at a range of UK festivals. Just look out for a wooden, peach-shaped room – it’ll be hard to miss – and enjoy the pocket of cool.
