The final season is fast approaching

Stranger Things was a smash hit when it arrived on Netflix back in 2016, and the show is now gearing up for a fifth and final season. Luckily for eager fans, Netflix has just let us peek behind the curtains on what’s to come. Read on for the details of Stranger Things season 5.

Stranger Things Season 5: Plot, Cast, Release Date

Missing the eccentric, ‘80s world of Stranger Things? You’ll be happy to hear that production on season 5 is officially halfway done, and Netflix announced the news by sharing an exclusive behind-the-scenes video.

‘I started when I was 10,’ Millie Bobbie Brown says to the camera, driving to set. ‘I’m now turning 20 years old. It feels very weird.’

‘We’re just kind of savouring every single moment,’ Sadie Sink adds, walking through the wardrobe department.’

‘It’s just so exciting,’ adds Noah Schnapp. ‘I think this is going to be the best season yet.’ Big words – and we’re sure the team will live up to it.

What Will Happen In Stranger Things Season 5?

Season 4 ended with Eleven and her Hawkins gang watching with trepidation as the barrier to the Upside Down was finally broken. It’s likely, then, that season 5 will deposit us straight back into a world filled with chaos and overrun with aliens as this terrifying alternate dimension threatens to replace reality as we know it. The season will chart the final battle between our trusty heroes and their main rival, Vecna.

While we don’t have much other information yet, we know that Stranger Things creators, the Duffer Brothers, have plenty more planned for their fictional universe – not forgetting that the theatre show Stranger Things: The First Shadow has already debuted at the Phoenix Theatre in London.
