Go for a Ride Along the Thames
When on the South Bank, you’re right by the Thames. The Thames runs throughout London and is a fantastic way to see all the sights in one go, without having to walk for hours and hours. Board the Thames with MBNA Thames Clippers with a hop-on-hop-off ticket which means you can stop where you like, explore a certain area of the city, and see it in a way you’ve never seen it before – from the water. Whether you’re a Londoner or a tourist, this is a great family-friendly fun summer activity. The Family Roamer ticket covers two adults and up to three children, costing £35.60 when you book online. Have Afternoon Tea
Step away from the bustle of the streets and into Sea Containers London, an artistic and glamorous hotel overlooking the Thames. Inside the hotel you’ll find Lyaness where Fancy Tea is served. From sausage rolls to devilled eggs, the menu is traditional and uses ingredients made in house, accompanied by hand crafted cocktails. Seacontainerslondon.com

One of their art exhibitions running until September in the Hayward Gallery is Kiss My Genders, an exhibit holding up a mirror to society’s expectations of gender. Find out more here.
Eat Oysters Alfresco
Applebee’s of Borough Market are hosting a summer pop-up on the South Bank where they’ll be serving their famous fish and chips along with negronis and oysters all summer long.
