Looking for the ultimate Christmas shopping experience, or just a festive browse? London is brimming with festive markets complete with mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, carol singing, live music and even wreath making. Here’s our pick of the best for 2023.
London’s Best Christmas Markets 2023
Guildhall Christmas Market
Elevate your Christmas gift-giving game at the magical Guildhall Christmas Market. After a few Covid-enforced years of closure, the market will return to the beautiful and gothic Guildhall for 2023 this November, with a variety of lovely stalls selling handmade and unique items.
Details: 5:30pm–9:30pm on 27 November & 10:30am–7pm on 28 November 2023 at the Guildhall (Entrance via Guildhall Art Gallery, Guildhall Yard, EC2V 7HH). Tickets are £7 per person, raising vital funds for the work of the British Red Cross. redcross.org.uk
St Paul’s Christmas Market
New for 2023 is St Paul’s Christmas Market, with decorated cabins nestled next to one of the UK’s most iconic landmarks. Expect picture perfect scenes with an array of artisan food stalls, bespoke jewellery, knitwear, and sizzling street-food. While you’re there, why not stop by a festive carol concert?

King’s Cross Christmas Markets
The Kings Cross Christmas markets are back for another year with a characteristic range of exciting and unique themes on the cards, from crafts to the beloved Mexican Market. Nearby, Club Curling has also returned, throwing the Winter Olympic sport back into the spotlight for another season.

Kingston Christmas Market
Kingston’s anticipated Christmas market returns for another year. Only a 28-minute trip from Waterloo, this European style market features a curated selection of independent makers selling seasonal food and other Christmas treats while festive live music plays on.

Greenwich Peninsula Market
Greenwich Peninsula – home of the O2 – was transformed into an Enchanted Forest for last year’s festive season, featuring everything from winter craft workshops to classic film screenings (think Elf, Home Alone, Frozen and It’s a Wonderful Life), intimate jazz gigs to a Christmas rock concert. We’re expecting a return of the Christmas market in 2023, featuring favourites such as warming mulled wine, season street food, festive cocktails and delicious churros.
