Get into the summer spirit at Chelsea’s annual Summer Fete, which is taking over the streets of the much-loved neighbourhood for one day this June. Guests can enjoy everything from yoga classes to traditional fete games, with Duke of York Square hosting a garden party complete with acoustic live music. Gym bunnies can start early at local boutique gym KXU where festivities are kicking off with a yoga class, before brushing up on their football skills at the running track by the Saatchi Gallery with the Chelsea FC Foundation. For the first time, the Duke of York Square racecourse will be hosting the children’s regional heats of the Goodwood Settrington Cup Races, kicking off at 12pm. Guests can also stop by The Chelsea Pensioners Pottery stand, take part in a flower workshop at Chelsea Physic Garden, and visit the National Army Museum for a delve into British history.
There will be plenty of food on offer too, with artisan traders including including Wulf & Lamb and The Sea, The Sea opening up their restaurant and shopfront doors for the ultimate street party. Finish the day with a glass of wine or cocktail at Pavilion Wine’s Summer Wine Bar or Hans’ Bar & Grill’s cocktail stand – and be sure to pick up some sweet treats from Bread Ahead’s stall. Fingers crossed for some sunshine!
