Friday Late at the V&A: A Vote for Whom?

March 30 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Free
V&A Summer Party

Head to the V&A on Friday 30 March from 6.30pm for a #FridayLate event all about 100 years of suffrage

What?

The V&A’s Friday late series celebrate all aspects of contemporary visual culture and design in society with leading and emerging artists and designers through live performance, film, installation, debate, DJs and late-night exhibition openings. Held every month on the last Friday of the month (except May and December).

This month the theme is ‘A Vote for Whom?’ to mark the centenary of some women in the UK being granted the right to vote. Despite 100 years having passed since the landmark decision, much work is still needed to include more voices in the fight for equality and enfranchisement. The #FridayLate at the V&A looks at the contemporary practices of activism and modern democracy, through a series of talks, dance performances, films and debates.
