Learn all about Nordic cuisine at Ekte Nordic Kitchen’s masterclass, the second in a recently launched series. Led by Swedish-born Head Chef Robin Freeman, the class will begin with coffee and cinnamon buns at the restaurant’s oak dining table, followed by a lesson in how to make their own traditional rye bread. Guests will be able to take home the rye bread they prepared, plus a goodie bag with a loaf of Ekte rye bread, smørrebrød recipes by Robin, a 50ml bottle of Schnapps and a sourdough starter.
The third masterclass will take place on Saturday 15 June, and will be based around ‘Nordic Midsummer’ dishes. Situated in the City’s Bloomberg Arcade, Ekte Nordic Kitchen opened in April last year. Ekte – meaning genuine or real in Norwegian – offers a varied Scandinavian-inspired menu, with changing menus through from breakfast to dinner.
