Devoured your 33p margherita at Pizza Express last week and on the hunt for your next bargain? Well, here it is: Neapolitan pizza joint 081 Pizzeria has opened its largest branch today in Shoreditch, and to celebrate the restaurant is offering free pizzas throughout the weekend.

081 Pizzeria Is Offering Free Pizzas

The brainchild of Naples-born Andrea Asciuti, 081 Pizzeria began as a series of pop-ups, but the 72-hour fermented dough pizzas garnered a cult following, inspiring Asciuiti to launch a bricks-and-mortar site in Peckham in 2023. It went on to earn a spot in the prestigious list of Europe’s top 50 pizzerias, hailed for its pillowy crusts and bold toppings.

Now, Asciuti is growing the brand even further by opening a bigger eatery in Shoreditch. 081 Pizzeria will offer signature pizzas like the Tunarella, featuring fior di latte mozzarella and tuna fillets; the Meatballs and Ricotta Stuffed Crust, which is baked with a cooked tomato sauce base; and the Pulled Genovese, topped with slow-cooked pulled beef brisket. Other favourites include the Black Truffle and Honey, which features gorgonzola and fresh black truffle; and the Napoli Segrata, which is topped with provola, black olives and tomatoes. Alongside this, there’s Napoli-style tapas, Italian wines and cocktails.

The restaurant has opened its doors today (4 April), and the first 81 customers will be treated to a free pizza. But don’t worry: the offer extends throughout the weekend, so get there early on Saturday or Sunday to nab the tasty deal. If you miss out, the restaurant is also offering 25 percent off its food throughout April.
