Exchange a Book for a Cocktail on World Book Day
Today, 1 March, The Bloomsbury Club Bar is inviting guests to bring a paperback book, which they can exchange for a literary inspired cocktail. Each book will then be sold to second-hand book shop, Skoob Books – the proceeds will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
The literary inspired menu, created by Bar Manager Brian Calleja, features four bespoke cocktails inspired by legends including Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, Carson McCullers and William Faulkner…

If, instead, you’re looking to add to your book collection, Lobby Bar is offering a Penguin Modern Classic to guests who visit from 1-4 March and purchase the ‘Outlaw’ cocktail at £14 . A £2.50 contribution from each cocktail will go towards Ministry of Stories, a local writing and mentoring centre in East London, where those from 8 to 18 years old can come and discover their own gift for writing.
