You can now dine al fresco at The Devonshire

Any London foodie will likely be aware of the hype surrounding The Devonshire, a trendy pub in Soho – but you might not know about its brand new rooftop terrace. Read on for the details.

The Devonshire’s Rooftop Terrace Is Now Open For Business

As the sunshine finally arrives in London – however fleetingly – restaurants up and down the capital are dusting off their outdoor seats and officially opening up their terraces. And while there’s plenty of choice when it comes to al fresco dining, a particularly buzzy option is The Devonshire’s brand new rooftop area.

Favoured by in-the-know Londoners (as well as celebrities like Ed Sheeran), The Devonshire is a Soho spot encompassing both a pub and a restaurant (plus the terrace). As with many eateries making the rounds on TikTok and Instagram, it’s often difficult to secure a booking at The Devonshire, though you can only book at the restaurant – the pub is walk-in only. The new 40-seat terrace also accepts walk-ins only, so you don’t have to worry about nabbing a coveted reservation.

A large part of The Devonshire’s charm is down to the variety of its offerings: in the pub, you can grab a Guinness and enjoy bar snacks created by an in-house butcher and bakery team. In the restaurant, meanwhile, you can expect a set menu, a Sunday menu and an à la carte menu boasting dishes like lamb cutlets, pork chops and beef cheek with suet pudding. Think hearty British staples served up with Soho sophistication – all now available to sample from the comfort of a sweeping rooftop terrace. What could be better?
