The skies are getting bluer and it’s no longer pitch black when we leave work in the evenings, which is rallying us to crawl out of winter hibernation and start getting out and about again. So what’s on the calendar in London this spring? Well, foodies have plenty to be excited about: alongside all the new openings, there are a whole host of pop-ups, residencies and events taking place across the city. Here are the London food pop-ups worth booking this March and April.

Yonder’s Guest Chef Series
A handful of London’s hottest chefs are taking part in a cooking series themed around nostalgia, with a series of special five-course menus available for a reasonable £50 a head. First up, Gabriel Pryce and Lee Tiernan of cult favourite Black Axe Mangal will be cooking up a storm at Rita’s in Soho, focusing on bold colours and flavours inspired by their childhoods. Then, in April, Sebastian Miers and Dara Klein of Tiella – both of who grew up in immigrant families in the southern hemisphere – will be joining forces for a meal at Planque, bringing to life the recipes of their respective heritages. Finally, Philip Limpl and Ed Wilson of Brawn will be hosting an event at Levan in Peckham.

Cheltenham Festival At Stanley’s
Missed out on tickets to Cheltenham Festival? Fear not: you can tune into the action from Stanley’s, the pretty Chelsea restaurant tucked away beside the King’s Road. All the races will be screened on large televisions, alongside a special menu and plenty of Guinness. If the sun peeps its head out, a cocktail in the courtyard is a must too.

Sky Garden x Moët Hennessy Dinner
London’s highest public garden, Sky Garden is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a glitzy dinner, taking place in Fenchurch restaurant’s sky-high private dining room. Chef Kerth Gumbs will be cooking up a special feast for the occasion, fusing Caribbean cuisine with British ingredients, paired with champagne from Moët Hennessy. The dinner will begin with canapés and a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs ahead of dishes like roasted halibut with cauliflower, beef strip loin, and eton mess – all accompanied with different champagnes.

Trullo at Harvey Nichols
One of London’s most beloved Italian restaurants, Islington’s Trullo is heading to Knightsbridge for a three-month residency on the fifth floor of Harvey Nichols. Diners will be able to try long-standing favourites like the beef shin ragu and pici cacio e pepe, alongside suitably luxurious newbies, like tagliarini with Beluga caviar, grilled Dover sole with Palourde clams, and an Amalfi lemon tart for dessert. All this can be enjoyed alongside Italian wines, including Trullo’s own label Gavi and Chianti.

Guest Chefs At Carousel
London’s culinary hub Carousel hosts food pop-ups from a string of buzzy chefs, and March and April promise another exciting line-up. Up first, Yiannis Mexis will be running a two-week pop-up ahead of the opening of his highly anticipated Borough Market restaurant, PYRA. He’ll be showcasing his signature style of open-fire cooking with dishes like charred octopus and spanakopita. Then, chef Ely Tran will be embracing the flavours of his Thai, Laotian and Vietnamese heritage with the likes of langoustine crudo, and houa som (Lao-style fermented sausage). Rounding off the month, Ukrainian chef Nika Lozovska will take over the Carousel kitchen, focusing on a fusion of Israeli, Parisian and Asian fare cooked with classic French techniques.

Wine Makers Dinner Series At Dalloway Terrace
You’d struggle to find a more idyllic spot for dinner in London than Dalloway Terrace, the flower-bedecked courtyard tucked away in The Bloomsbury hotel. But there’s even more reason to go this spring, as the restaurant is bringing back its Wine Makers Dinner Series: five-course menus paired with exceptional wines. The 2025 line-up begins with Mark and Sarah Driver of Rathfinny Estate, who will be serving their renowned sparkling wine alongside dishes like salmon tartare with avocado, chicken and duck parfait, and goat’s curd and pea risotto, with a rhubarb and raspberry tart for dessert.

Marceline’s Top of the Croques
Oozing with cheese and flavoured with Béchamel sauce, the croque monsieur is one of the most beloved French dishes. But how do you master the hot sandwich? A host of top chefs such as Thomasina Miers and James Cochran will be battling it out to create the perfect croque in a cooking competition, which will raise money for The Felix Project, a charity which redistributes surplus food to those in need. The competing chefs will be showcasing their take on the dish alongside Marceline’s head chef Davide Toro, with interpretations judged by a panel of experts that includes Great British Menu host Andi Oliver. Tickets will include three drinks and samples of each croque, with £5 from each going towards the charity. Who will be crowned top of the croques?
