Where to dine in the Oxfordshire shopping hotspot

After a day of nabbing bargains at Bicester Village, it’s only right to reward yourself with a meal – all that browsing the racks is hunger-inducing stuff, after all. And luckily, the luxury shopping outlet is home to a selection of great food spots. Whether you’re looking for a hearty brunch, an Italian feast or a sweet treat, these are the best cafes and restaurants in Bicester Village.

Where To Eat In Bicester Village

Ottolenghi

Last year, the Ottolenghi restaurant group branched outside of London for the first time, opening an outpost in Bicester Village. Come here to try the chef’s signature Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean cuisine, with a mix of well-loved staples alongside Bicester exclusives. Begin with dips of creamy hummus and labneh paired with pillowy flatbread, before tucking into a selection of small and larger sharing-style plates. Highlights include a grilled chicken skewer, served with a moreish harissa yoghurt, Ottolenghi’s take on fish and chips, and butterflied sea bass with pak choi – and whatever you do, pop some of the za’atar potatoes on the side. Enjoy alongside cocktails like the Bicester Spritz, a refreshing mix of hibiscus gin, Amalfi lemon, St Germain and sparkling wine. On a summer’s day, nab a seat on the terrace for the perfect post-shopping summer lunch.

Bicester Village

Humble Crumble

This crumble bakery has risen to cult status since launching at a farmers market back in 2018. Just a few weeks ago, the hotspot arrived in Bicester Village, serving its TikTok-famous crumble dessert. Stick to the classic apple and cinnamon crumble, mix it up with the berry or Eton Mess flavour, or try one of the seasonal specials – there’s currently an ‘Easter Nest’ on offer which sees the signature crumble topped with blowtorched Easter nests and mini chocolate eggs.

La Tua Pasta

If you’re craving some relaxed Italian fare, head to La Tua Pasta, which rose to fame at London’s Borough Market. Pasta is made fresh every night, with Bicester highlights including cavolo nero pesto, fennel and sausage ragu, and pumpkin and sage ravioli. Alternatively, pop in for a selection of antipasti and a drink: think focaccia, aubergine fritters, and chili and garlic king prawns, best enjoyed alongside a Cipriani Peach Bellini or a glass of Italian wine.

Farmshop

This all-day restaurant is open from breakfast through to dinner, focusing on rustic British food. Kick off your day of shopping with a stack of pancakes topped with bacon and maple syrup, or stop by for lunch, where a selection of salads, burgers and grills are on offer. Think baked aubergine with chickpeas, a sirloin steak sandwich or beef short rib paired with mashed potatoes. There are a selection of classic cocktails on offer too, as well as a small number of wines and beers. And if you’ve got a child or two in tow, they can pick from the kids menu, which includes dishes like mac ‘n’ cheese, and fish and chips, as well as ice cream and juice.

Cecconi’s Bicester Village

Cecconi’s

Another option for Italian food is Cecconi’s, a chic outpost of the glitzy London favourite, which first opened in Mayfair back in the ‘70s. You’ll find all the classics: begin with starters of burrata, calamari and scallops with garlic butter, ahead of mains like lobster spaghetti, veal milanese and ribeye with fries. Save some space for one of the dreamy Italian desserts, whether that’s the profiteroles with salted caramel ice cream, or apple cake with vanilla gelato.
