This is the ultimate gift for Paddington fans
With just a few weeks until Paddington in Peru arrives in cinemas, collaborations surrounding everyone’s favourite bear are popping up all over the place. The latest? A hamper from Fortnum & Mason, filled with food, drink and homeware products inspired by the beloved franchise.
This Hamper Is A Must For Paddington Fans
Available both in-store and online from 1 November 2024, The Paddington In Peru Limited Edition Hamper comes with a ‘Certificate of Pawthenticity’, stamped with Paddington’s ‘paw’ of approval to say it has been ‘lovingly made especially for you’ by his friends at Fortnum & Mason.
Inside you’ll find an array of Paddington-inspired staples. Of course there’s marmalade – a favourite of both Paddington and Fortnum & Mason, with over 42 varieties in the British retailer’s range. The newly launched Paddington In Peru Emergency Marmalade is made using traditional Seville orange with Peruvian lime (a nod to Paddington’s Peruvian heritage, which is the focus of the new film). There are also Marmalade Sandwich Truffles: 20 chocolate truffles with a marmalade ganache centre, coated in sourdough crumbed milk or dark chocolate.
The hamper also contains Bear Essentials Iced Biscuits, a Chocolate Llama Plaque, and a classic Paddington plush bear. Fans can also give their kitchen a Paddington makeover thanks to the themed, limited-edition towel and mug. All this comes inside a wicker hamper designed to resemble Paddington Bear’s own suitcase, topped with travel stickers and a bespoke luggage tag. All products are available to purchase on their own too.
Paddington in Peru is out on 8 November 2024. The hotly anticipated third film sees Paddington and the Brown family travelling overseas to visit his Aunt Lucy – only to discover she has gone missing in the Amazonian jungle.
The character of Paddington Bear was first created by British author Michael Bond, who published his first book, A Bear Called Paddington, in 1958. It went on to inspire a series of books and an animated TV series, with the first film premiering in 2014, with Ben Whishaw starring as the voice of Paddington Bear, alongside names like Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.
