Aston Martin and Bollinger have launched The House of Q

He likes his martini shaken, not stirred – but James Bond is also partial to a glass of champagne. His brand of choice? Bollinger, of course. Back in the 1979 film Moonraker, 007 (played by Roger Moore) drinks a bottle of Bollinger Grande Année 1975, and ever since, the House has become closely associated with the Bond franchise.

Aston Martin, too, is synonymous with Bond – a relationship which dates back even further. In Goldfinger, which premiered in 1964, we see Sean Connery as James Bond driving an Aston Martin DB5, and over time the car has grown to become an essential part of the spy agent’s arsenal.

Now, the two brands are coming together to celebrate 60 years since the release of Goldfinger. Launching this July at Burlington Arcade in London is The House of Q: a pop-up created by Aston Martin and Champagne Bollinger.

The House of Q Opens At Burlington Arcade

Accessed within what appears to be a magazine newsstand inside the Arcade, the speakeasy-style space includes a Bollinger bar, serving the PN cuvée, available by the glass and bottle. The bar is adorned with sketches and diagrams from the archives of both Aston Martin and EON Productions, alongside a Q flight case – plus hints at a future Aston Martin model.

Upstairs, visitors can discover the Configurator Lab, where they can work with Aston Martin’s design team to conjure up their perfect vehicle.

Victoria Carfantan, Director of Champagne Bollinger UK said: ‘Champagne Bollinger is delighted to be part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Goldfinger alongside Aston Martin. The Burlington Arcade is the perfect location to showcase both brand’s long standing partnership with 007’.

England’s oldest shopping experience, located in Mayfair, Burlington Arcade is a fitting venue for the experience. An impressive example of Regency architecture, it houses over 40 stores, with uniformed men in top hats (known as ‘Beadles’) holding the fort at either end of the arcade.

The House of Q is open now until 4 August 2024 at House 12-13, Burlington Arcade, 51 Piccadilly, London W1J 0QJ. burlingtonarcade.com
