Cereals is heading to Diddly Squat

Since making the transition from cars to agriculture, Jeremy Clarkson has been a big advocate for putting British farming on the map. And now he’s taking that to the next level by agreeing to host the 2026 edition of Cereals, the UK’s largest arable farming event, at his Oxfordshire farm Diddly Squat.

Jeremy Clarkson To Host Cereals 2026

Clarkson’s Cotswolds farm attracts a string of visitors year-round, with fans of the hit Prime show Clarkson’s Farm flocking there to take a snap by the sign and pick up some of the famous Bee Juice. But in June 2026, Diddly Squat will welcome a new crowd: over 25,000 visitors and 550 exhibitors from the worlds of food and farming.

‘Farmers across the country are facing some of toughest conditions seen in decades,’ Clarkson told Farmer’s Weekly. ‘So we wanted to be involved in something positive, and hosting Cereals was an opportunity for us to run a large-scale, practical event for UK food producers.

‘For us, it will be interesting to see how the event’s crop plots perform on our Cotswold brash land, and of course there will be the pop-up Farmer’s Dog bar and the Hawkstone Filling Station to enjoy.’

Rural agronomist Charlie Ireland, known as ‘Cheerful Charlie’ on the show, has played a key role in planning the event. ‘Diddly Squat Farm, like any other, is impacted by unpredictable weather and market volatility,’ he said. ‘Cereals will provide a platform for discussions on sustainable, profitable food production.’

What Is Cereals?

Cereals is a farming event which first took place in 1979. It has grown to become an important date in the agricultural calendar, running each year at a different working UK farm, and attracting farmers, agronomists, exhibitors and food producers. The aim is to discuss current challenges and opportunities in the farming sphere, as well as equip farmers with the latest knowledge and technology.

According to Farmer’s Weekly, the 2026 event is set to feature ‘a variety of technical zones including crop plots, agronomy workshops and a networking area with a range of local food and drink options’.
