Quintosapore has made its way to London
During the pandemic, Livia Giuggioli Firth moved to her family farm in Umbria, Italy, which her twin brothers had recently acquired. Little did she know this would be the start of her new venture: regenerative farming business Quintosapore, which hosts guided visits and special lunches made using produce grown on site. But now, we can try Firth’s farm-to-table produce closer to home, as Quintosapore has landed in Selfridges’ Food Hall in London.

Livia Firth, ex-wife of actor Colin Firth, is an Italian activist who rose to fame through her environmental work. She founded Eco-Age, a consultancy specialising in sustainability, which ran for 17 years before being forced to close suddenly. Nowadays, her attention is focused on Quintosapore, a 65-acre family farm in Umbria, which she runs alongside her two twin brothers, farmers Nico and Alessandro.
As well as being certified organic, the farm combines many agricultural methods, including biomimicry and permaculture, with an overall focus on regenerating the soil and harnessing biodiversity.
Quintosapore produces a range of soil-to-fork products, including smoked aubergine caviar, tomato pasta sauce, chilli oil, olive oil, truffle soup and garlic aioli. Everything is crafted with love and tells a story: the olive oil, for instance, is hand-harvested and cold-pressed by a local mill, while the green tomatoes sotto’oloio is made using Grandma Giuggioli’s recipe.
The products are now available to buy in the food hall of Selfridges. ‘I am so excited to collaborate with Selfridges on this new chapter,’ said Livia. ‘This marks a key moment in Quintosapore’s growing presence in the UK retail landscape and in our farm life. When you buy one of the farm’s soil-to-fork products, you are also buying the farmer and the soil.’
Nico and Alessandro added: ‘We turn our produce into products that carry our stories, our vision, our flavours and our aspirations for a more environmentally and socially just world.
‘Ours is a story about love – the love we put in producing our own heritage seeds, the love we put in the way we grow the vegetables using only natural techniques, the love we use to harvest them, transform them into recipes in our own kitchen lab, bottle them, label them… Every step, from seed to jar, is done by us, using only the organically certified and hand-harvested seasonal fresh vegetables we grow – and nothing else.’
Colin, meanwhile, described Quintosapore as ‘one of the most exciting adventures of my life.’
