The ultimate Christmas bar is coming to Covent Garden
It may only be September, but here at C&TH we’re already beginning to get excited about Christmas. Brands are dropping their advent calendars, restaurants are announcing their menus, and now we have word of the first festive pop-up. Miracle, the renowned US-born Christmas-themed cocktail bar, is returning to Henrietta Experimental in Covent Garden for a limited run this November.
Miracle at Henrietta Is Back
Back in the capital for its seventh year, Miracle is known for its over-the-top festive decor. Designed to intimate a 70s-inspired ‘chalet living room on Christmas Eve’, the pop-up sees the bar decked out in fairy lights, kitschy trinkets, nostalgic accessories, and of course tinsel aplenty.
Amid this brilliantly outlandish space, visitors can enjoy an array of seasonal cocktails served in weird and wonderful ways. To give you an idea, previous drinks have included Elfing Around, a mix of gin, mulled wine and orange bitters; Bad Santa, a hot toddy of cider, cinnamon and sherry; and Hot Buttered Rum, warm dark rum blended with spiced butter, oat milk and nutmeg.
Miracle began its life in New York in 2014, created by founder Greg Boehm, who transformed an East Village cocktail bar called Mace with Christmas decorations. It was an instant hit, and the following year the pop-up expanded to four other locations across America, before going international. This will be the sixth year Miracle has run in London.
Henrietta is a boutique hotel in Covent Garden, named after the street it sits on. It features 40 rooms and suites, with a feel of vintage elegance seen throughout – the work of interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon.
Miracle at Henrietta will return from 11 November – 23 December 2024, open from 1pm – 1pm, with last entry at 9.30pm. It operates on a bookings policy, with each booking lasting one hour and 45 minutes. miracleathenrietta.com
