Five new Gordon Ramsay concepts will be taking over London’s tallest building, 22 Bishopsgate, next year. Right at the top will be a new branch of Lucky Cat, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants’ Asian-inspired venture, which will become the capital’s highest restaurant, complete with a roof terrace for late-night cocktails. Elsewhere on this floor you’ll find a chef’s table experience from Chelsea hotspot Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. And just below, there will be an outpost of Bread Street Bar & Kitchen, where you’ll be able to enjoy the signature roasts, grills and salads, alongside a brand-new afternoon tea offering.

Carbone, Mayfair

Since opening in Greenwich Village just over a decade ago, Carbone has stood as one of New York’s hottest food spots. Offering an upscale take on ‘red-sauce Italian’ restaurants, it has attracted some of the world’s biggest stars over the years, from Taylor Swift to Rihanna, who flock there for a taste of its signature spicy vodka rigatoni. So will the new London branch have a similarly starry effect? Most probably: it’s launching within super-luxe new hotel the Chancery Rosewood, complete with dazzling interiors, bold dishes and big prices. Easily one of the most eagerly anticipated new London restaurants of 2025.

Poised to open its doors in January, the new eatery will be helmed by French restaurateurs Ugo and Antoine Lecorché, channelling the same chic spirit as its French Riviera sibling. Osteria Angelina

Angelina is one of Dalston’s most popular dining rooms, renowned for its creative tasting menus which blend Japanese and Italian cuisine. And now the team behind it is back with a relaxed sister restaurant, Osteria Angelina, opening in the City in March 2025. Located in a converted Victorian warehouse on the border of Shoreditch and Spitalfields, the eatery will focus on fresh pasta with a Japanese twist, alongside ‘big cut’ Binchotan grill dishes and smaller plates – including Angelina favourites like antipasti, crudi and fritti.

Francesco Mazzei at Corinthia London

Next year, the long-standing Northall restaurant at five-star hotel Corinthia London will be transformed into a signature eatery from esteemed Italian chef Francesco Mazzei. We haven’t got many details just yet, but it will showcase Mazzei’s signature Italian style, which he describes as ‘mamma’s cooking with a chef’s hands’, with a focus on championing the specialties of his hometown. With its high ceilings and large windows, no doubt the space will have a grand look too, in-keeping with the hotel’s sophisticated aesthetic.

Le Caprice

Carbone will be joined at the Chancery Rosewood by a reinvention of Le Caprice, the A-list hotspot frequented by everyone from Princess Diana to Mick Jagger back in the ‘80s. Helmed by restaurateur Richard Caring, Le Caprice 2.0 will be set across two floors of the hotel, featuring suitably lavish interiors from Martin Brudnizki. Diners will be able to enjoy some Le Caprice classics – signature dishes include bang bang chicken and steak tartare – however these will make up just a fifth of the menu, leaving plenty of space for newness.
